Through unique, original graphic tees and a commitment to honesty about the joys and challenges of ranch life,
we aim to create a community where women feel confident, valued, joyful, and irreplaceable.
We strive to support and uplift these women as they embrace one of the most important roles on the farm and ranch,
offering not just clothing but also coaching services to connect and empower them in raising the next generation of farmers and ranchers.
Hey Reader! Did you know I started Beyond the Fencelines because I went looking for a connection with other farm and ranch moms? The idea for Beyond the Fencelines came to me in the early days of motherhood with my first daughter, Clementine. I felt lonely and lost and was looking for connections with the outside world. You see, I live 40 miles from the closest town in the prairies of Montana, and that winter was particularly isolating with a newborn. It wasn't until after my second daughter, Adrianna, was born that I started sharing my āmotherhood on the ranchā story online. I shared it all from my joys to my struggles and everything in between, and I was blown away by what I had foundāhealing, friendship, connection, and other farm and ranch women who could relate. I wanted to surround myself with a community of strong farm and ranch women who can support and uplift each other through the mountains and valleys of life. I wanted to give farm and ranch women the tools and support to work through the hard seasons and rejoice in the winning seasons. I wanted to cultivate friendships that will go beyond the fence lines of our hearts and transform how we live this rural life that we love dearly. I wanted to make the lonely feel a little less lonely and a little more encouraged, the isolated feel a little less isolated, this big world we live in just a little smaller and do it by celebrating and publishing the unique voices of rural women. What started out as a place to share our unique stories has turned into so much more. You're probably wondering how selling t-shirts fit into all of this? Somewhere in the last 3 years, I began sharing about how it takes a village to raise cattle and kids and thought, "Gee, that would look good on a t-shirt". I proceeded to write down many more ideas related to t-shirts that all aligned with my values and the values of Beyond the Fencelines: family values and faith in the farming and ranching lifestyle. For the longest time, I never pulled the trigger on the shirt idea. It never felt like the "right timing" and to be honest, I was afraid of failure and what everyone would think. Fast forward to last summer...my declining mental and physical health had finally caught up with me. A coffee date with a great friend took me back to church and back to putting my faith first. It was at that time that I finally decided to move forward with my t-shirt idea, honoring my faith and how I am finding joy in the journey of being a ranch mom and wife. Here's the good stuff: šš» If I hadn't struggled as a new mom, I would have never started Beyond the Fencelines. šš» If I hadn't struggled with my mental and physical health, I would have never started creating t-shirts that honor our way of life. It's funny how God works sometimes, isn't it?! What is at the heart of farming and ranching when we get right down to it? Families! In most cases, you can't have the farm (or ranch) without the family. Beyond the Fencelines is rooted in faith and celebrates those that love farming and ranching. Particularly, the women who live this lifestyle. We have a love and a passion for this life that runs deeper than the holler (as Alan Jackson would say) and we have the most important job on the operation, that is, raising the next generation. My next t-shirt launch is in honor of the Mom's out there. The one's in their...
